The Herbal H. Pylori Protocol that Worked

Well, it’s official – I’m finally free of h pylori! My most recent GI-MAP stool test came back negative, with no detectable levels of the h pylori bacteria. And now I’m sharing the herbal h pylori protocol that I used to get there.

This was my second time treating the bacteria. The first was a year and a half ago, and then I got pregnant right after finishing so I didn’t think it was a good time to retest (I couldn’t continue treatment anyway).

I was symptom-free throughout my pregnancy and while I was breastfeeding. But once I stopped breastfeeding my h pylori symptoms slowly started to creep back in.

What probably happened was when I was pregnant by body suppressed the h pylori bacteria (thanks body!), and once I didn’t need to sustain another human, the bacteria were free to start giving me symptoms again.

Whatever happened, I am so thankful that I was finally able to get rid of my h pylori – and hopefully for good this time.

In this article, I’m going to share the supplements that I took that worked for me. This is not meant to be a substitute for working with a practitioner to treat your own h pylori.

I’m sharing what worked for me to help arm you with more knowledge and options to present to the health teammate in charge of your own protocol creation. And for that reason I won’t be sharing dosages or the frequency at which I took each supplement. But if you do have H pylori and want me to create a personalized protocol for you, I can do that with you as my client. With that being said, here’s the protocol that finally cured my h pylori.

H Pylori Supplement #1: Biocidin

Biocidin is one of my all-time favorite supplements to use in any sort of gut-healing protocol.

It’s an herbal antimicrobial, it breaks down biofilms, and it actually helps to support microbiome balance – not just kill everything in sight.

For h pylori, I think this supplement is essential mainly for it’s biofilm busting capabilities.

H pylori is notoriously difficult to treat, and I think one of the reasons is that it forms some pretty heavy-duty biofilms to protect itself.

If your treatment protocol doesn’t include a supplement to help break down those biofilms that protect the bacteria, your antimicrobial herbs aren’t going to be effective.

H Pylori Supplement #2: Mastic Gum

Mastic gum is the powerhouse of this h pylori treatment protocol.

This supplement has been shown to be effective in the eradication of h pylori in studies that compared it’s usage to pharmaceutical antibiotics.

And what’s great about mastic gum, as compared to antibiotics, is that there are no detrimental side effects to the health of your microbiome.

Mastic gum is not an herbal antimicrobial, but it’s actually a resin that comes from the mastic tree.

So, if you’re worried about the negative side effects of using antibiotic therapy to treat h pylori, trying out mastic gum first is a great option.

H Pylori Supplement #3: Gastromend-HP

Gastromend-HP is a godsend for any sort of gastritis or acid reflux symptoms. So including it in the h pylori protocol helps not only with eliminating the bacteria but it can help control your symptoms, fast.

This supplement is a specially designed blend of botanical extracts that helps to support gastric health.

The main players in this supplement are mastic gum (more mastic gum never hurt!) and Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL).

Gastromend-HP is a little on the pricey side, but if you have a severe case of h pylori and your symptoms are especially bad, I highly recommend it!

H Pylori Supplement #4: Matula Tea

Matula Tea was a new addition to my h pylori protocol this time around. And to be honest, I was a little skeptical that it would actually do anything.

But, looking back, I’m very glad I chose to take the leap and try this herbal tea, because I do think it played a huge role in my ability to eradicate h pylori this time around.

Essentially, Matula Tea is a blend of herbs and flowers that has been clinically shown to eradicate h pylori.

They don’t disclose the ingredients, and the website truthfully looks a little hoax-y. But, they do have a guarantee that if you still test positive after completing the Matula Tea protocol they’ll refund your money.

So, I figured it was a pretty low-risk investment to include in my herbal h pylori protocol, and I’d give it a try. And friends, I think it definitely helped!

The Bottom Line on Treating H Pylori

Well, that’s it. Those are the four supplements in the herbal protocol I used to treat h pylori.

Along with the treatment part of my protocol, I did use a few supplements to help support my liver and gut during the process.

Here are the additional supplements I used during my h pylori protocol:

Thankfully, almost immediately after starting the h pylori protocol, my symptoms subsided. And as I continued to take the supplements I kept feeling better and better.

I hope this article can be helpful in your own journey to be h pylori free. It is a tough bacteria to defeat, but it’s definitely not impossible!
